Yesssss! We can still lie and get away with it.

Our fibbing days seemed to be almost over. Federal courts were about to allow new brain-scanning technology, effectively killing, in one fell swoop, the entire art of bullshitting.

Then a savior put his foot down.

Judge Tu Pham ruled in a Tennessee court that functional magnetic resonance imaging was not scientifically established enough to be used as evidence in a fraud case. Phew. We thought we were actually going to have to start telling the truth.

Imagine a world without lies.

Mine-Sweeping Mammals Search For Mine-Sweeping Robots

Four mine-sweeping U.S. Navy robots went AWOL on a training mission earlier in the week. The robots were supposed to replace the Navy’s earlier state-of-the-art mine sweeping technology: sea lions and dolphins.

Thankfully the the marine-mammals-that-could didn’t hold a grudge. Instead, they went to work on a recovery mission.

Professional Gamers Aren’t Athletes, Says British Psychologist

A recent study by a British Psychologist concluded that professional computer gamers are not, in fact, athletes.

Dr. Dominic Micklewright, from the University of Essex, found that professional computer gamers have the mental sharpness of “real” athletes and react to visual stimuli as fast as fighter jet pilots.

Similar to professional athletes, top professional gamers have very high skill levels, and earn thousands of dollars in prize money each year.
