At least, that’s the case in the United Kingdom, where doctors prescribed a daily dose of Nintendo to help a young boy overcome amblyopia, otherwise known as severe lazy eye syndrome.

Original Pac-Man Sketches Released After 30 Years

The original designs and sketches of the classic arcade game Pac-Man were recently unveiled at the Festival of Games conference in Holland.

The game is celebrating its 30th anniversary this year and as part of the festivities inventor Toru Iwatani revealed his original plans in a scrap book before speaking at the conference.

Vaults be damned!

In the post-apocalyptic world of Fallout, the area immediately around Las Vegas is saved from any nuclear blasts, making New Vegas an oasis of gambling strips in a wasteland of radiation and mutated beasts. The developers of Bethesda Softworks seem to have used the same thoughtful touch in New Vegas that they used in Fallout 3 in incorporating the story, world, and RPG mechanics that made Interplay‘s Fallout so amazing.

Nintendo kicked off day one of E3 2010 with a two-hour presentation that was bookmarked on both ends with huge announcements.

To start, the company announced the release of the second Wii title in the Legend of Zelda franchise with a trailer for The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword. The game will be in development through the end of 2010, but expect a 2011 release.
