The latest Google offering, Art Project, takes viewers inside 17 museums in the U.S. and Europe. They can view art from an inside-the-museum perspective or in a slideshow.

Microsoft and NASA’s interactive Mars tour

If you plan on using Mars in your next science fiction masterpiece, Microsoft just made your life a whole lot easier.

Microsoft Research’s Earth, Energy and Environment program, working with NASA, crunched three years of data to produce an interactive Mars map. To view the map, you can download a stand-alone program for Microsoft OS, or you can use a web-client if you have a Mac (sorry Linux users, you are screwed).

Study Shows That 22 Percent Of Internet Time Is Social

A recent Nielsen study proved what we already all knew. If you’re online, you’re most likely spending time blogging, tweeting or commenting on a friend’s drunken Facebook photo.

The study found that people spent 22 percent of their time social networking. It also found that a third of the world is using social media, and that number has increased 24 percent from last year.

Dell Streak Brings New Competition for iPad

Dell plans on releasing its worthy rival to the iPad, the Streak, sometime this summer. CEO Michael Dell previewed the device at a conference in San Fancisco two weeks ago, and on Tuesday he revealed it to the public with a promotional video.

Unlike the 9.7-inch iPad, the five-inch Streak will be able to fit in your pocket while offering all the features of the revolutionary iPad and more.
