IPhone 4 video test

A few days ago I visited the Onondaga Lake Skate Park in Liverpool, N.Y., to research a skateboard story for the local newspaper. Most of the skaters there were around 12-years-old. Some had braces, all of them had scars.

I spent a couple hours chatting with some local skateboarders and shooting some video with my new iPhone 4.

The entire experience was sublime. The iPhone 4’s HD video capture is scarily easy to use. All I had to do was select the “Camera” icon, switch to video mode and turn the unit sideways.

Ziplines: A Secret Agent’s Best Friend

HUNTER, N.Y. – Top-level Handshake agents, or any special operative, must have building-to-building capability. Unfortunately, flying powers are tough to come by in this economy, especially with the diluted mutagen market.

Handshake researched alternative methods, and found an aerial training exercise for its agents: the zipline. Used by Batman, Spiderman, and Dark Wing Duck, a zipline has many advantages: high speeds, overhead sight lines, and the silent attack.

Hypersonic Travel: Travel From London To New York In An Hour

Picture this: You hit the snooze button on your alarm one too many times and just woke up in your London flat. You look over and let out a scream because you just realized you have a business meeting in New York in an hour and a half!

No worries, Australian defense scientists and the U.S. Air Force are on it. They’re testing a hypersonic airplane that travels at 5840 km per hour, or around 3,629 mph for the anti-metric types. That would cut the travel time from New York to London down to under one hour.
