So earlier this year, the good folks at reddit helped raise money for the DonorsChoose rally. Stephen Colbert promised to chat with them and answer some questions if they reached a certain amount. They did. So he talked.
Most Colbert fans know that, behind the character he plays on The Colbert Report, Stephen is an intelligent, insightful and often fascinating man. Of course, he’s also funny. Funny and intellectual go a long way toward helping folks become more informed – it’s easier to digest facts with a dose of humor, which probably goes a long way toward Colbert’s popularity.

Whether it’s the haunting lack of people or the superb Godspeed You! Black Emperor music I don’t know, but this video is the stuff nightmares are made of.
Redditor aroundlsu, who posted this video, says he was given permission to shoot the theme park while working on the feature film The Courier. He says the park was closed in preparation for Hurricane Katrina and never re-opened. The slow-tracking shots and the now-faded bright colors make you feel as though zombies are surely around the next corner and the filmmaker himself admits he felt the same way while shooting.
The comments section of the Reddit post have turned into an impromptu AMA. The bad news: Looks like the city is going to tear the whole structure down come January. There goes our chance for a zombie survival camp.
