The Microsoft – Apple rivalry has been going on since the start of time. Maybe not, but since Apple started posing a serious threat to Microsoft’s profits. With last week’s introduction of the iPhone 4 (sans the technical issues)Microsoft came out with something new of its own. Here’s Handshake’s comparison of the two.
“52 geeks. 52 weeks. One challenge.”
That’s been artist Len Peralta’s mantra since March when he started his odyssey, now in its 14th week. His mission is to interview one influential geek every week for a year, then chronicle these conversations with a trading card featuring each geek.
“The trading card is really a great vehicle because, as you know, geeks are really into collecting things,” Peralta says. “The card is kind of like proof that I was able to connect with that person in some kind of meaningful way.”
“Wow uncle Steve. All of your genius inventions are soooo cool. Can I live at the Apple Store?”
Teachers, do you feel that your students haven’t had enough Apple promotions shoved down their throats? Now you can take your students right into an Apple Store to teach them that PC’s are for four-eyed losers.
Today, Apple CEO Steve Jobs debuted the new iPhone 4G, making iPhone users and wannabee iPhone users excited until it’s released later this month.
(Of course, Apple was scooped this morning by Gizmodo six months ago. But we digress . . .)
Before people get too excited over the new smartphone, there are some questions that need to be addressed.
