Ziplines: A Secret Agent’s Best Friend

HUNTER, N.Y. – Top-level Handshake agents, or any special operative, must have building-to-building capability. Unfortunately, flying powers are tough to come by in this economy, especially with the diluted mutagen market.

Handshake researched alternative methods, and found an aerial training exercise for its agents: the zipline. Used by Batman, Spiderman, and Dark Wing Duck, a zipline has many advantages: high speeds, overhead sight lines, and the silent attack.

“You would be traveling 40-50 miles per hour,” said zipline expert Bradd Morse who has built lines in New Hampshire and Jamaica, “and we would probably need to give everybody goggles and stuff like that, cause if you hit a bug at 50 mph, you’ll know it.”

This past Saturday, Handshake operative Kyle C. Leach got a sneak peak of the schematics for the longest and highest zipline in North America at Hunter Mountain, just two hours north of New York City.

It sure smells like a Handshake offline mission is cooking; check back for more information on the Hunter Mountain zipline to come next week.

Right now, I’m humming the tune of “Secret Agent Man” in my head. I’ve always wanted to do a zipline. Looking forward to the next post!
